Try our other tool the Google Backlink Checker Tool for Penguin & Disavow Analysis
This Sort Backlinks From Google Tool is not perfect.
Here are some things you should know about how this tool works:
Notes about "Dead and Live Links":
When this tool starts to analyze your backlinks, after you upload your spreadsheet, the tool first sorts the backlinks by common root domains. Then the Disavow tool checks the first backlink found by that domain, to see if the page and the link is still there. If we find the link, and if you have other links from that site, we assume that all the other links from that domain are still there, and have the same characteristics of the first link. If a link is not found, or a page is dead, and if you have more than 1 link from that domain, we check the second link from that domain. If that too is "dead", then we assume that all links from that domain are "dead". Keep in mind that some of those backlinks where we say they are "dead", may not be.
Sometimes we get an error code (ie, 400 errors or 500 errors) when we check the host, but keep in mind that other browsers may not get an error.
Links not found, those links may be there on those pages, but our crawler was not able to find them. Some of these may be live links.
This tool places NoFollowed links under the "Dead Links" tab, but these links are not "dead", they are just nofollowed backlinks.
What formats do you accept for uploading backlinks? :
Answer: txt or .csv - one url per line.
This form will accept a .csv file of backlinks and dates, one on each line:
How long does it take for the tool to run?
This tool crawls one link from each unique domain listed in your Google backlinks .csv to see if the link is still live. If we do not find the link, we go to another page to see if that page is live. To achieve the fastest results with this tool please do not use Internet Explorer. Chrome of FireFox will be accelerated and provide the fastest results.
What are the 301ed Domains for:
Sometimes, for many reasons, a company may change their domain name and are appropriately 301 Redirecting the old address to the new address. If you would like to consider links to your old domain a valid link then enter the alternate domains (up to 5 and one per line) in the text box.
What this tool is looking for:
To provide the most complete results possible the tool looks for any link to your base domain. If you enter 'www.here.com' and the tool will return results for any sub domain or page on 'here.com', www and non-www.
